Well then. It's been a while, hasn't it. This is me trying out a different style than I'm used to. What do ya think? Good? Bad? Let me know!

For your first try at a new style, this is beautiful. All of the aspects of Miku are in place, even the linings of her vest (you wouldn't believe how many people forget them!). However, though it's impressive that you only used one layer, I think that two could've helped in this drawing. Miku is a more complex-ish character to draw, especially in her facial area. Though I know this style is MEANT to make everything very simplistic, some details cannot be forgotten. The shading is excellent, subtle enough to barely see where the lines are and "out there" enough to know what they're shading and why.
If you use this style again, I would suggest defining a few more details - the hair especially - and using multiple layers.

This is very good, if a bit different than the others of Miku I have seen. I like the fairly minimalist style and the subtle, but effective shadows. I love the eyes, they are very effective and I like the broad brush strokes a lot. I personally am a vocaloid fan and I think this is unique compared to other paintings, including your own. Personally I think it would look good on a background, like a stage, or a school, or something. Apart from that it is an excellent painting and may I suggest something with the reston vocaloid in it?

Lol, she has quite a builded body in this one :iconladies-plz: I've seen her around enough, although I;m not really a fan of hers. I like Black Rock Shooter more :D
